No matter if you are a hobby or pro athlete, Gigathlon Czech Republic is the sports weekend for all. It is unique in its combination of 5 disciplines (run, swim, road bike, mountain bike and inline skating) and 4 categories (Single Man Woman, Couple, Team of 5, Team Hobby 3-5).
In 2021 athletes can choose again from classic 2-day event “Weekend Gigathlon” or shorter version 1-day event “Light Saturday Gigathlon”. Thanks to a wide range of racing options, at Gigathlon will everyone find their suitable race, that meets their limits.
This year gigathletes will gather again in the city of Mělník, that is only 1 h away north from golden Prague. Main competition scene will shine in the city centre on the main square (Náměstí Míru) and Gigathlon Camp will be hosted again by Camp Mělník, which is only 10 min away by walk from the main square. It is exclusive in its family atmosphere . Gigathlon will kick off with the opening ceremony incl. welcome drink on the main square on Friday. On the main square athletes can look forward as well to the partners park including massages, relax zone, bike & inline services as well as rich offer of food & beverages inclusive wine testing from the local winery Kraus. Courses will bring gigathletes to the most beautiful corners of the region. Bikers will dive into the green forest area of Kokořínsko, that is well know for its massive rock formations, that wont be missed along the course. Cyclist will as well explore Kokořínsko but will keep on the main roads. Swimmers will jump into the crystal clear water of the local quarry Baraba. Runners and inline skaters, will get the most of the historical city center Mělník.

…is dedicated to those Gigathletes who want to spend the full weekend of sport, experience Gigathlon from welcome drink on Friday over 1,5 days sports performance, courses in full distances till the final medal ceremony on Sunday.
Here you can choose from following categories:
Team of 5: The out-of-this-world team experience! Each member of a Team of Five does one discipline each day. At least two team members must be woman. This category suits to a group of friends or colleagues.
Couple: The big challenge for sporting teams of two! The five disciplines are shared by two people. Both Gigathles have to compete at least in 2 disciplines each day. This category suits to partners, siblings or friends.
Subcategories: Couple Mix (men & woman), Couple Woman (woman & woman), Couple Men (men & men)
Single Woman/Man: Tackle all 5 disciplines alone – the ultimate challenge for a Gigathlete! Single athletes are assisted by personal supporter. This category suits to ambitious athletes, who like challenges and are ready to go an extra miles.

... will enjoy those who are looking for either try out of the unique combination of 5 Gigathlon disciplines as the introduction into the Gigathlon world or for those who just simply want to have more fun aside, give Gigathlon a go but at the same time have a space for team celebration afterwards. Here you can choose from 3 Hobby categories, that are less strict, for ex. in Team Hobby can be 3-5 members.
